Take listening to the next level with Sonos S2. This new version of the app enables higher-resolution audio, with 24-bit processing and Dolby Atmos support. It also sports an improved design, better security, new features like saved room groups, and smarter software to keep your system up to date. Speaker maker Sonos today announced the portable $169 Roam speaker and as the name suggests, it’s designed for use outside the home as well as inside it. It’s more portable than anything that Sonos already offers, and is also the most affordable speaker the company currently sells, too. As expected from a Sonos speaker, it will feature support for direct streaming from various streaming services, plus it also plays nicely with various digital assistants, and there is also AirPlay 2 support for iOS users.

When it comes to wireless audio playback, Sonos is no stranger to that concept. In fact, the company kind of made a name for themselves for being able to stream audio wirelessly from streaming services such as Spotify. However, if you were in the market for a speaker that is truly portable, Sonos has you covered.
